Colorado Springs, Colorado

Gillies was instrumental in rezoning a single family parcel to multi-family on behalf of JPI Partners, a nationally recognized multi-family developer. The rezone was complicated, requiring 2 years of persistence.

Gillies also supervised extensive repairs to the flood plain. When the Cheyenne Mountain project was completed, JPI sold the property for a substantial profit.

Kansas City, Missouri

When Gillies placed this parcel under contract for JPI Partners, it was a dilapidated junk yard. To avoid high development costs and sluggish retail lease-ups, Gillies successfully down zoned the property from an ultra high density project to a more reasonable mid-density property. The plan was so well received by the city of Kansas City; Gillies negotiated a 25-year tax abatement for the project. JPI sold the project for a substantial profit.

Greenwood Village, Colorado

When Gillies finished this project for BRE Properties, it was the first high density property ever built in the Denver Tech Center. Upon completion, BRE sold a majority stake for a substantial profit.
